Williamsburg, KY – The Patriots of the University of the Cumberlands continues its run at a Mid-South Conference Championship in 2017, but now it is in the largest conference in the country. Twenty teams are divided among three divisions, the Bluegrass Division, the Appalachian Division, and the Sun Division, and will vie for three separate divisional titles.

UC joins the Appalachian Division in 2017 which includes Bluefield College, Point University, the University of Pikeville, Reinhardt University, St. Andrews University, and Union College. The Patriots have five home contests along with five road games.

They open their season once again at home on a Thursday in August as they welcome Warner University, a new team to the MSC, on the 24th with a 7 pm kickoff followed with a second straight home game on September 2nd hosting the Phoenix of Cumberland University at 7 pm.

The Patriots then take to the road twice over a three week span which includes a bye week. UC travels to McKenzie, Tennessee to take on Bethel University at 1:30 pm on September 9th before their bye week during the week of the 16th. They round out their non-conference schedule on the 23rd of September in Jacksonville, Florida as they take on Edward Waters College at 1:30 pm.

The Patriots then begin conference action on September 30th in their Homecoming game, hosting the Bulldogs of Union College at 7 pm. UC travels for much of the month of October with three of their four contests on the road and all four being conference matchups. They travel to Reinhardt University in Waleska, Georgia on October 7th at 1:30 pm, Bluefield College in Bluefield, Virginia on October 21st at 6 pm, and St. Andrews University in Laurinburg, North Carolina on October 28th at 1:30 pm. The Patriots’ lone home game in October comes on the 14th versus the University of Pikeville at 7 pm.

UC will close out their regular season at home on November 4th as they host Point University with kickoff set for 1:30 pm.
