Teams, Fans and Coaches Get Ready For Season’s Start

LAFAYETTE, Tenn.,   Summertime scrimmages prepare teams for the fall match-ups.  The Macon County Tigers hosted the 3-A White House Heritage in Friday evening scrimmage action as both teams prepare for the 2016 campaign. This marked the final scrimmage of the year for WHH, but the first for Macon County.

Across the state of Tennessee, Friday night, August 19th marks the start of high school football season. Gordonsville is slated to scrimmage MCHS next in Lafayette at Pat Parker Field just a week before opening weekend on Friday, August 12th.

White House Heritage opens the season in an away non-conference game as the Patriots take on rival White House on at 7:30 pm.

The 4-A Macon County Tigers will host the neighboring Owls of Smith County on opening night with a 7 pm kickoff.
