HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Big Ten Network will televise Northern Kentucky University‘s basketball game at Ohio State this Saturday (Dec. 1) at 4:30 p.m.

It will mark the first regular-season meeting between NKU and Ohio State. The Buckeyes (4-1) are ranked No. 4 nationally in the latest Associated Press college basketball poll.

NKU, in its first year competing at the Division I level, enters Saturday with an 0-4 record. Ohio State will be the first Division I program with a national ranking that the Norse have ever faced.

While competing at the small-college level, NKU posted a 57-132 all-time record against nationally ranked opponents (Division II and NAIA).

The Big Ten Network currently reaches approximately 40 million households nationwide and is available up to an estimated 73 million households in the United States and Canada. It also has agreements with more than 300 providers and is carried nationally on DirecTV and Dish Network.

After the Ohio State game, NKU hits the road again as the Norse travel to Lubbock, Texas, to meet Texas Tech on Dec. 4. The Norse have never met the Red Raiders on the basketball court.

That game will be broadcast on FOX Sports Southwest.
