Miller Adds Gilles for 2012 | Asbury College | tennis

tennisWILMORE, Ky. – Asbury women’s tennis coach Jarred Miller has announced the signing of Shelby Gilles from Colorado Springs, Colo.  Gilles is the only signee in the class of 2012 for Miller and the Eagles.

Gilles played for four years at Cheyenne Mountain High School for Coach Dave Adams, competing on the junior varsity team for the first two years and the varsity squad as a junior and senior.  The Indians have won four straight 4A Team State Championships.  Gilles is a two-time Colorado State Doubles Champion, winning the 4A number 2 doubles title in 2012 and the 4A number 3 doubles title in 2011.

Miller is beginning his third year at the helm of the women’s program and has compiled a 30-15 overall record during that time and a 19-6 mark inside the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.  The Eagles finished 12-7 overall last year and 10-3 in the KIAC, losing in the semi-finals of the conference
