Hoptown Star Makes Kentucky Girls’ All-Star Team | Hopkinsville

Hopkinsville High senior Christy Soldo will continue to play basketball in western Kentucky for four more years, as she has committed to play college basketball at Murray State.  However, she will first have the chance to represent Kentucky in the annual Kentucky-Indiana All-Star basketball series.

Hopkinsville‘s Soldo joins the four seniors from the Manual High state champion team, which is a record for the girls’ team, being the first time since the early ‘90’s when Mercy had had three players make the team.

Sydney Moss of Boone County, who will head to Florida in the fall, has the automatic spot on the team as the reigning Kentucky Miss Basketball.

The Kentucky Lion’s Eye Foundation will host the first game of the series at Freedom Hall in Louisville on June 8, before moving to Bankers’ Life Fieldhouse the next day.

The foundation will announce the girls’ teams on its website Monday, and announce the Boys’ team Tuesday.
