Titans Sign Area College Talent To Roster

The Tennessee Titans rookie minicamp concluded over the weekend. Today, the Titans signed an additional five players to their roster.

Among the Titans’ newest additions are former MTSU Blue Raider D-lineman, Jimmy Staten, and former Centre Colonel kicker, Jordan Gay.

Staten, who participated in the weekend rookie minicamp, was drafted in the fifth-round of the NFL draft by the Seattle Seahawks back in 2014. Staten was named Team Captain for the Blue Raiders in 2013. During his 12- game final season of his collegiate career, he recorded 30 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, a pass breakup and two QB hurries, which would earn him All-Conference USA honorable mention honors.

Gay, originally signed with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2013 before stints with the Giants, a second stop in Carolina and most recently, the Buffalo Bills.  Gay was signed today after a workout for the Titans.
