Students Recognized by the NABC

COLUMBIA, Ky. — A trio of Lindsey Wilson men’s basketball student-athletes were named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court for their work in the classroom during the 2012-13 academic year, NABC officials announced on Thursday.
Darren Ballou, Simon Barres and Alex Giergen each earned the honor reserved for juniors or seniors with at least a 3.2 grade point average. Eligible student-athletes must be at the nominating institution for at least one year and be a member of an NCAA Division I, II, II or NAIA Division I or II institution.
More than 700 student-athletes from over 285 colleges and universities were recognized by the NABC.
Ballou, Barres and Giergen were also named Academic All Mid-South Conference in 2012-13 while Ballou and Barres earned NAIA Scholar Athlete during the season.
