Shearn leads Knights to victory at Jim English Invitational | Bellarmine

DANVILLE, Ky.–Led by senior David Shearn’s 3-under par 69, the Bellarmine University men’s golf team captured the title at the Jim English Invitational hosted by Centre College at Danville Country Club.

 

DANVILLE, Ky.–Led by senior David Shearn‘s 3-under par 69, the Bellarmine University men’s golf team captured the title at the Jim English Invitational hosted by Centre College at Danville Country Club today.

The Knights posted a team score of 287 (-1), six shots clear of runner-up Centre.  Shearn’s 69 was good enough for medalist honors, and he was joined on the all-tournament team by Ryan Glass, whose 1-under par 71 placed him in a 4-way tie for second place.

Patrick Sullivan closed his round with three birdies over his last four holes to post a 73 to help secure the victory for the Knights.  Rounding out the Bellarmine scores were Bryan Ratterman  andJack Clare with 74s and Alex Foley with a 75.

The Knights return to action in the Wasioto Winds Classic on Sept. 10 and 11 in Wasioto Winds Golf Course in Pineville, Ky.
