Revenge Is Sweet! Kentucky puts up 102 on Indiana | Kentucky Wildcats

Kentucky Wildcats were able to shore up a third consecutive trip to the NCAA regional finals with a 102-90 revenge win over Indiana on Friday, as the Kentucky Wildcats overcame their biggest fear of the season to advance.

This year’s super-freshman Anthony Davis was given two fouls in the first six minutes of the game, causing him to spend 14 basketball minutes on the bench, which when coupled with the 20 minute halftime, the freshman had gone 64 real-time minutes without touching the floor.Kentucky wildcats

Davis’ counterpart, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist tied a career high with 24 points, and wangled in 10 rebounds, while sophomore Doron Lamb added 21 points, and senior Darius Miller notched 19 for the second consecutive game.

IU’s Christian Watford, who singlehandedly broke the hearts of Kentucky Wildcats fans with a buzzer beater in Bloomington on Dec. 10, tallied a game-high 27 points.

The Kentucky Wildcats move on to play Baylor on Sunday afternoon at 1:20 CST with a trip to back-to-back final fours on the line for the first time since the 1997 and ’98 tournaments.
