Redhawks Shutout Southeastern Louisiana, 2-0

#19 Madeline Krumrey

HAMMOND, La.
Madeline Krumrey pitched a complete game shutout to lead Southeast Missouri (4-2) to a 2-0 win over Southeastern Louisiana (5-2) Saturday night at the Lion Classic II.

Krumrey allowed just four hits and a walk, while striking out four in her third career shutout.

Offensively, Sarah Messex drew a walk with the bases loaded and Claudia Gallo scored the first run of the game to give SEMO a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth.

The Redhawks tacked on another run in the fifth when Ashley Ellis singled home Randi Dae Conway on a two-out single to left.

That was all the run support Krumrey (2-1) needed as she picked up her second win of the season.

Rachel Hayes suffered the loss, giving up two hits and striking out eight in five innings. Hayes also walked four.

Rachel Anderson, Addison Barnouski, Ellis and Parker Bandy each had a hit for SEMO.

The Redhawks close out the Lion Classic II with games against Buffalo and Alcorn State Sunday.
