Musk wins second straight individual title as Knights take 4th at Midwest Open | Bellarmine

SOMERS, Wisc.—After winning last week’s Stegemoller Classic, Bellarmine University seniorAngela Musk made it two for two on the season by capturing the individual title at the Midwest Open today at the Dannehl Cross Country Course.  Her victory in the five kilometer race—in a time of 17:49.4—helped lead her team to a fourth place finish in the 17-team field.

Northern Michigan took the team title, and the host Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers finished as the runner-up.

Bellarmine freshman Rachel Clemons clocked a 19:32.4 in capturing 15th place, and BU’s Maggie Wagner was three spots back with a time of 19:36.2.  A total of four Knights turned in sub-20-minute race times.

The Knights next competition comes on Friday, Sept. 14 at the 34th Annual National Catholic Invitational at Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.
