GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — Kaitlin Allan will play in the final round of the NAIA National Women’s Golf Championship on Friday after making the cut with a third-round 77 today at Link Hills Country Club.

Allan is tied for 16th in the 144-woman field with a three-round total of 228 (79-72-77) following today’s 4-over-par 77.

It was an up-and-down day for the sophomore as Allan carded four birdies, five bogeys and a triple bogey over the 6,044-yard, par 73 Link Hills layout.

Allan — playing in the first group off the No. 10 tee this morning — birdied her opening hole to move to 4-over-par for the tournament. She immediately gave the shot back with a bogey on the par-4 11th hole to fall back to even-par on the day.

Following five straight pars, Allan recorded her eighth birdie of the championships to get back to 1-under on the day. But the round took a dramatic turn with her first triple bogey of the tournament to end her front nine at 2-over-par 38.

Allan recorded birdies on her 10th and 14th holes — both par-5s — but suffered four bogeys on the back, including bogeys on her final two holes, to shoot 2-over-par 39 on her second nine.

University of Victoria’s Megan Woodland leads the tournament with a three-round total of 219 (73-70-76).

University of British Columbia leads the team portion of the tournament with a team-total of 908 (305-299-304). Savannah College of Art and Design is second with a 909 (310-295-304).

Allan tees off at 9 a.m. CT for her fourth and final round on Friday.
